✦ Since 2016
The House
Vestige Antiquités & Objets Rares has traded from Baabda since 2016, buying and selling furniture, art, decorative objects and architectural salvage across Lebanon and the wider region.
The house works the way the trade has always worked: pieces are found, examined, researched where research is possible, and offered with what is known stated and what is not known admitted. There are 228 pieces catalogued and available at the moment; more arrive most weeks, and the catalogue is kept current rather than rebuilt in bursts.
Two trades under one roof
Alongside the antiques business the house runs Heritage & Engineering — architectural restoration across several disciplines, working on buildings and building elements rather than on objects. The two feed each other: salvage that comes out of a restoration often ends up in the catalogue, and the catalogue is where a restoration finds a missing balustrade or a matching door.
Buying from us
Prices are shown where a piece has one. Significant objects are priced in conversation, which is not evasion — it is how the trade values things that are not interchangeable. Ask about any piece and you will get a figure and the reasoning behind it.
Selling to us
We buy single pieces and whole contents. If you have something to sell, photographs and a rough description are enough to start; we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can place.
